CAN Passthrough GUI

Use this tool when you want to send RS-232 commands to an inverter through the Galvanic-Isolator CAN passthrough path.

What it does

The GUI lets you start and stop passthrough mode, select the inverter target, type commands, and view the decoded response.

How to use it

  1. Open the GUI.
  2. Select the SLCAN connection settings for your adapter.
  3. Choose the target inverter path.
  4. Start passthrough mode.
  5. Type the command you want to send and submit it.
  6. Stop passthrough mode when you are done.

Typical use cases

  • configuring inverter parameters over RS-232
  • checking that the passthrough path is working
  • reading back short command responses without using a terminal

Expected setup

You need a working CAN adapter and the Galvanic-Isolator passthrough path available on the bench.

WARNING

This tool is for bench use. Make sure you are connected to the correct inverter target before sending commands.
